About Steve
I’ve spent more than 30 years helping people move better, stay active, and get more out of their bodies at every stage of life. Based in Southern Marin County, I train clients out of The Yard in Mill Valley—a private training space designed for focused, individualized work.
My approach is grounded in a simple belief: fitness should support the life you want to live. For many of my clients, that means staying strong enough to surf, hike, ski, paddle, travel, and keep up with the activities that make life fulfilling. My role is to help make that possible—not just now, but for years to come.
I work with a wide range of clients, from those transitioning out of physical therapy to experienced athletes looking to improve performance. I also collaborate closely with local physical therapists, helping clients safely move beyond rehab and continue building strength, mobility, and confidence.
Every program I design is built around the individual. I focus on form, posture, and functional strength—not just lifting heavier, but moving better. Each session is adjusted based on how you feel that day, so progress is consistent, sustainable, and aligned with your goals.
At 60, I still surf, hike, paddle, and travel regularly. I understand firsthand how the body changes over time, and that perspective shapes how I train. I’m not here to push people past their limits—I’m here to help them discover what’s still possible.
